I would imagine this being a base SX/4 vs the sport, it probably has the old iron duke. I can think of about 5 diesels that would make an easy swap in there...

ehh, as much as I love a good diesel jeep conversion, I just don't think the character of a diesel would be good for this. Maybe a quick little vw turbodiesel, but not one of the usual Cummins.
